Memristor : A new advancement in circuit technology.

In 1971,UC Berkeley researcher Leon Chau theorized the possibility of fourth type of circuit component called Memristor.It is a kind of circuit which could remember the amount of current passed through it.

It could allow computers to make decisions by understanding the past pattern of data it has collected,which is similar to human brain.For example ,a memristor could be capable of telling the heating time of different types of food based on the data collected over time.

HP has successfully built the first memristor. Memristor are going to revolutionize the Electronics market. Memristor will likely replace DRAM and Hard Disks because there computation speed would be faster and they would be cheaper ,as it uses less voltage and power compared to conventional storage devices.

This type of technology would  change the A.I. Sector because memristor could make decision on there own.The technology is expected to arrive by the end of 2016 at commercial level.
